My parents, my sister and I moved to Belgium when I was 10. We lived there for about five years and the most important moments in my life happend there. I'm from South Africa and at the age of 10 I had never been outside of SA. It was an incredible experience; a realization that there was so much that I didn't know; a new culture to explore. When I was about 14 my dad decided to take my sister and I out of school for a year because he could see that we were really stressed, we had no friends and we weren't used to the Belgian school system, It was by far the best gift he has ever given me. I learned so much about myself in that year, and also about new cultures thanks to all our travelling. Belgium is also the place where I developed and nurtured my love for books, and for that I will be forever thankful
