People: Teachers

incomplete_original: Many of my teachers taught me things that stay with me. More often not it isn't the stuff from the curriculum that sticks in the memory, more things that were said as asides or in assemblies. Nor are they all necessarily positive things. I still vividly recall the Head of Sixth Form looking at my A level subject on my university application form and saying somewhat dismissively  "English and History: very nice hobbies." Clearly Geography, my third subject, was not beyond the pail, despite the fact I had dropped her subject precisely in order to take Geography!
